To celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birthday, we are holding an international symposium that looks at how to build a peaceful, nonviolent world by exploring the contributions from the civilizations of Asia and the West that uplift the happiness and wellbeing of the planet and its inhabitants. Gandhi’s legacies provide us with a way out of conundrums of violence against each other and the environment, respecting our adversaries and finding the Truth in others’ perspectives. We will also explore obstacles to the process and how to overcome them.
